Announcing a Beginner’s Acting Class, for older adults

The class is for people who have had no experience acting for theater (or, no experience since middle school!)

Classes will be taught by Anne Sandoe* in a supportive and comfortable environment meant to encourage judgment-free exploration of one’s creative self. Lessons will include exercises in observation, imagination, voice, movement, and basic stagecraft.

What: six classes of two hours each. Class is limited to 10 participants.
When: beginning May 23, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, for six consecutive Tuesdays
Where: Westview Church, 6710 Arapahoe in Boulder
Cost: $90 for the six sessions

* Anne Sandoe

Anne is an actor, director, and teacher who has performed with the Colorado, Oregon, Alabama, Virginia, and Antioch Shakespeare Festivals. She has taught acting and voice for more than thirty years, including at UNC, San Francisco State University, and Wright State University in Ohio.

Locally, Anne has performed with BETC, the Catamounts, Longmont Theater Company, the Arvada Center, and has acted with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival since she was 16. Most recently, Anne performed the role of the daffy psychic Helga ten Dorp in Coal Creek Theater’s production of Deathtrap.
